Roman Candle Robber suspect arrested

An anonymous tip has lead to the arrest of the man officials claim robbed businesses armed with a roman candle and a hammer.

Austin Police believe Sean O'Brien, 44, is responsible for the string of gas station robberies in and around Austin. The Department's Jason Chiappardi says O'Brien was arrested Saturday at his Lockhart home and is connected to four cases, three in east and west Austin and one out in Travis County.

Chiappardi reported, masks like the ones used in the robberies, were found in O'Brien's car. He added, the department is still investigating O'Brien's associates and whether or not O'Brien was involved in a fith robbery.

So far O'Brien faces four counts of agrivated robbery with a deadly weapon.
