ROUND ROCK, Texas –In a partnership with St. David’s, the Round Rock Express announced the opening of a new, private room for breastfeeding or pumping mothers at Dell Diamond, dubbed the Lactation Station. Located down the third base line, the new location provides a comfortable location for mothers with young children to escape the weather and breastfeed or pump in private.

“We have always promoted ourselves as a family-friendly venue and now with the introduction of the Lactation Station, we have taken it to another level,” said Express Senior Vice President of Marketing Laura Fragoso. “As a nursing mother myself, I was thrilled to have the immediate backing of management and ownership on this project this past offseason. It provides a necessary space for mothers in a place they can so often be overlooked. As always, the Express welcomes nursing mothers to breastfeed in any public location at Dell Diamond, but the Lactation Station provides a fun, comfortable space for those looking for privacy.”

The Lactation Station features a padded bench with comfortable pillows to provide back support and additional comfort. A TV stationed at seated eye-level plays the in-game feed so mothers do not have to miss a second of the game action. There is also an activity wall to keep any other children they have in-tow entertained. Power outlets allow mothers to keep their phones and tablets charged and pumping machines plugged in. The suite also features a full sink.

“This partnership makes perfect sense to us,” said St. David’s HealthCare Division Director of Marketing & Communication, Celeste Lesmeister. “We strive to provide healthy, pro-family information through a variety of programs, and now we can take that into the community at Dell Diamond. Breastfeeding mothers now have a private, beautiful space where they can tend to their children’s needs while not missing out on the game.”

The Express are one of only a handful of Minor League Baseball parks that offer a private space dedicated solely for breastfeeding mothers.

Single game tickets, season memberships, Flex Plans and Kids Club packages are on sale now. For more information on the Express, or call (512) 255-2255. Keep up with the Express on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter.
