The Round Rock school district has now rolled out its text alert system to all grade levels and campuses.  The district's Jenny Lacoste-Caputo said it's really proven to be a great way to keep parents in the loop if they have kids who ride the bus.

"Basically, if a bus is running more than 10 minutes late they'll, specitically for that route, recieve a text message letting them know."

Since September, she said they've used the system almost 60 times with virtually no problems.  She hopes to expand the system even further to include alerts about student safety on campus.
