Temple Police Continue Investigation into Cause of Vehicle Accident

The Temple Police Department is continuing its investigation of the two vehicle head on accident which occurred Sunday morning at approximately 12:25 AM.  The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Temple police reconstruction unit.  The preliminary investigation reveals the driver of a 2006 Saturn was traveling south in the northbound lanes of about the 3200 block of South Interstate 35 when colliding with a northbound 2007 Ford F150 pickup.  The Saturn was occupied by the driver and his dog.  The Ford was occupied by the driver, his wife, and their two children.  All parties were transported to Scott and White by ambulance with the two drivers suffering serious injuries. The dog did not appear to be injured was taken by animal control for safe keeping.   It appears that alcohol is a factor in this accident.  The investigation continues and possible criminal charges may be filed in this case.
