Two kids drown in Lake Georgetown

Georgetown Police, Fire and Williamson County EMS responded to Russell Park at Lake Georgetown for a possible double drowning. Witnesses pulled a 6 yr old girl and a 4 yr old boy from the water and were performing CPR. The children had been playing in the water approximately 10-15 feet out and went missing. The girl was reported to under water for approximately five minutes and the boy was reported to be under for approximately fifteen minutes. Both children were found in approximately 2-3 feet of water. Emergency workers continued CPR until the arrival of MediVac. The children were airlifted to Dell Children's Hospital with CPR still in progress. The children are siblings and family members were on-scene.
