Unidentified body found in Bastrop County

The discovery of a body in Bastrop County has authorities looking for answers, but not finding any. According to Sissy Jones with the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office, the body was found shortly about 6:15 p.m. yesterday in the 300 block of B.J. Mays. She says they have little to go on. “At this time the victim has not been identified due to the condition of the body. The gender will be determined once an autopsy is done.”

Jones says they cannot confirm the body is that of Christine Mohler, who was reported missing by Smithville Police Department on August 7.
