Wilco Commissioners reject plaque by Confederate Statue

Williamson County Commissioners say no to an interpretive plaque next to a confederate statue at the county courthouse. Community Impact reports Judge Dan Gattis told commissioners he could not support the application to the Texas Historical Commission because he felt the plaque, which would mention slavery and Jim Crow era laws, would be too divisive.
