Police have contract decision to make

It's back to the drawing board for the Austin Police Association after the city council sent their proposed contract back for more revisions. The police union is going to vote on whether or not they even want to negotiate anymore, and that should happen sometime next week.  Council member Ellen Troxclair says she just couldn't give her approval because she feels the $85-million contract is just too expensive:
She says she also has a lot of reservation about the pay raises over five years, which start small but by year four to five, could be as high as 40 percent.
