Nobel Prize-winning author Nadine Gordimer dies

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — The family of Nobel Prize-winning author Nadine Gordimer says she has died at the age of 90 in South Africa. The family said in a statement on Monday that Gordimer, who won the literature prize in 1991, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Johannesburg on Sunday. The statement says her two children were with Gordimer when she died. It says a private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
