Community mourns 3-year-old killed by stray bullet

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A family friend of a 3-year-old Philadelphia girl killed by a stray bullet while sitting on her front porch says, "No baby deserves to die like that." The girl was shot in the chest Friday night in the Grays Ferry neighborhood and died at a hospital. Investigators say a man on a bike and another man got into a heated argument, and the cyclist fired three shots. The other man was shot in the head. Stray bullets grazed two female bystanders and hit the girl. Renee Bradford tells WCAU-TV that her friend's daughter "was everything to us." Bradford says, "For her to get shot in the chest? She's a baby. No baby deserves to die like that." A person of interest is in custody. No charges have been filed.
