$12 million Lotto Texas jackpot goes unclaimed

It turns out, the big winner in a $12 million Lotto Texas jackpot was the Foundation School Fund.

The holder of a winning ticket worth $12 million in a January 1 lottery drawing had until 6 p.m. Monday to claim their prize before it reverted back to the state

According to the Texas Lottery's official Twitter account, the deadline came and went with no one claiming the winnings. As such, the money will go to the Foundation School Fund, which supports Texas public schools.

A ticket matching all six numbers drawn (15-17-43-45-47-50) was purchased from the South Shore Shell located in the 3300 block of FM 518 in League City, Texas. League City is about 270 miles southeast of Dallas, outside of Houston.
