After boasting about his first term as Texas Governor, Greg Abbot broke the news many in the San Antonio crowd wanted to hear. "I will not allow big government policies to lead Texas down the wrong path. To keep Texas the very best state in the United States, I'm running for re-election as Governor of the great state of Texas."

Speaking to a crowd in San Antonio where he announced his bid for office four years ago to the day, Abbott bragged about some of his accomplishments. "We have finally banned Sanctuary Cities in Texas. It is irresponsible and reckless to release known criminals back out onto the streets."

One of Abbot's promises is to lower property taxes and make sure governing bodies getting approval before raising them. He adds one way to reform property taxes is an overhaul of the school finance system.
