Cash, credit sales at ACL Fest could become thing of the past

Food and merchandise vendors at Austin City Limits Festival may have a big technology shift ahead of them. Festival producers C3 Presents is testing out a new system that will allow festival-goers to make purchases without cash or credit cards.

The new system will use radio frequency-enabled wristbands that customers will have the option of registering with their credit card information prior to the festival, and let them make purchases by swiping the wristbands and entering a pre-selected PIN code.
