Couple, teen found shot dead in San Antonio house

Police officers making a welfare check at a house in northwestern San Antonio found a man, a woman and a teenage girl dead on the floor, apparently of gunshot wounds.

Police Sgt. Gerald Marple says the dead man appeared to have been the gunman and that the three knew one another. Officers found the bodies about 5 p.m. Thursday after neighbors reported that no one in the house could be contacted.

No identities have been released. However, neighbor Eddie Juimbarda said his daughter was a good friend of the girl, whom he described to the San Antonio Express-News as a 13-year-old Longfellow Middle School student who stood to be an eighth-grader next school year.

He told the newspaper said the girl's parents had been going through a breakup.
