Dallas bomb plot suspect Hosam Smadi pleads guilty

Looking healthy but now medicated for schizophrenia and depression, Hosam "Sam" Smadi politely admitted to a federal judge Wednesday that he tried to blow up the iconic downtown Fountain Place skyscraper last year.  But the bomb he planted Sept. 24 under the building – a few blocks away from the courtroom where he entered his guilty plea to one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction – was a fake supplied by FBI agents in an undercover sting spurred by his online anti-U.S. rants.
