Texas advocates for LGBTQ rights are in Austin today to meet with lawmakers and hope they listen to their views.
Advocates plan to rally in protest of legislation like The Bathroom Bill, which has passed the Texas Senate. Today's event organizers say they want to be heard.
The Bathroom Bill would require everyone to use the public bathroom corresponding to their gender at birth. One side says it discriminates against transgender people. The other side says it would protect women and children.
