House explodes near Willis, cause of blast sought

WILLIS, Texas (AP) - A house has exploded in Central Texas and emergency responders are trying to determine whether anyone was hurt.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says the fiery blast was reported before dawn Tuesday at a home near Willis. That's about 40 miles north of Houston.

Officials are trying to determine what caused the explosion.

A sheriff's spokesman did not immediately return a message early Tuesday.
