Hurricane Harvey shuts down driver license offices

Due to the expected landfall of Hurricane Harvey and the disaster proclamation issued by Governor Abbott, the Department of Public Safety is closing Driver License Offices in certain counties for the remainder of today, Aug. 24, and all day on Friday, Aug. 25.

The affected counties include:

  • Colorado
  • Brazoria
  • DeWitt
  • Fayette
  • Fort Bend
  • Galveston
  • Gonzales
  • Harris
  • Jefferson
  • Jim Wells
  • Karnes
  • Kleberg
  • Lavaca
  • Liberty
  • Live Oak
  • Matagorda
  • Nueces
  • San Patricio
  • Victoria
  • Waller
  • Wharton
  • Wilson
