Mother of kidnapped 8-month-old: ‘One minute can change your whole world’

The mother who was separated from her baby girl for an entire morning admits she never should have left her child alone in the car.  Lashanna Hailey stopped for a soda at the Texaco gas station at 1110 North Sam Houston Parkway West Monday around 1 a.m.

Hailey said she was driving home from a friend’s house and got thirsty.  She left the keys in the ignition and her 8-month-old sleeping in a car seat while parked at the gas station.  “The door swung open, and I ran out. He sat in there, and threw it in reverse,” explained Lashanna Hailey. “I jumped on the car. I was pulling at the door to get her out.
