San Antonio St. Mary's law student arrested on murder warrants

 A San Antonio law student has been arrested on murder and arson warrants from Louisiana.

The warrants from Monroe, Louisiana, charge 29-year-old Matthew Edward Alexander with two counts each of murder and arson. He was arrested on the St. Mary's University campus in San Antonio, where he was attending law school He was booked into the Bexar (BAYR) County Jail without bond awaiting extradition to Louisiana.

The San Antonio Express-News (http://bit.ly/Y6ZdAN), which reported on the arrest, reported the Monroe Police Department and Ouachita Parish prosecutors didn't return messages seeking details of the case. A Monroe police dispatcher told The Associated Press that no details were available late Wednesday.

However, Hector Gomez of the U.S. Marshals Service in Austin told the Express-News that the charges stem from a single incident.
