Senators Cornyn and Cruz will hold a debate Friday at the Border

Texas Senators Cornyn and Cruz are taking their immigration policy debate down to the source on Friday. The two will hold a roundtable discussion with mayors, judges and DC brass at the Westlaco Border Patrol Station. Cornyn said this is a complex and emotional process and it would be best to go through this together.

Six mayors, three judges, and local religious leaders will meet with Senators Cornyn and Cruz and representatives of Homeland Security, Border Patrol and Office of Refugee Resettlement will discuss how complicated the migrant detaining process is.  Senator Cornyn and Cruz will first tour the children’s detention facilities.
