Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Arrested in Mexico

Dallas Wayne Waddell, 49, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being arrested last week in Mexico. Wanted in Hill County, Texas, Waddell had eluded capture for nearly ten years, and was one of the original fugitives placed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list when it was implemented in July 2010. Since his capture was the result of a tip, a reward up to $3,000 will be paid.

Responding to tip information, the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division and the U.S. Marshals Service coordinated efforts with Mexican Federal authorities to locate Waddell in the city of Guadalupe Victoria, Durango, Mexico.  He was arrested without incident on August 21 and deported from Mexico back to Texas, and is currently being held in the Harris County Jail.

Waddell had a violent criminal past, and was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, burglary of a habitation, and parole violation.  For more information, see the captured bulletin at:
