Senator John Cornyn is among several Senators asking the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to review the regulations of bump stocks like the ones used in the Las Vegas mass shooting last Sunday. The letter asks for a new interpretation of the Gun Control Act and National Firearm Act that make the sale of bump stocks possible.
Cornyn says once all the facts are known about the mass shooting Congress should also hold hearings to see what needs to be done legislatively, including the bump stock issue.
