Zip line fall injures girl at Frisco Freedom Fest

An eight-year-old girl in North Texas visiting relatives was injured in an accident at the Frisco Freedom Fest on Friday night.   City spokesman Brad Merritt said the child fell about 20 feet from a zip line attraction at the Children's Expo during the Independence Day event at Frisco Square.

Melissa Bradbury of Frisco was there with her young daughter moments the girl came loose from her safety harness.

“All of a sudden I heard a commotion behind me and I turned around and people were just rushing to the zip line,” she said. "Paramedics were rushing in, the police department, the fire department was running around in a mad scramble to get to her.”   http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/collin/Girl-injured-in-fall-from-zip-line-at-frisco-freedom-fest-265900511.html
