Cedar Park rolls out covid crisis business aid

Third-party review of the Cedar Park Police Department produces a mixed bag

The City of Cedar Park has already doled out thousands of dollars to dozens of local businesses. As part of the city’s business relief fund, Economic Development Director Ben White said they have sent money to 63 businesses thus far, totaling $200,000 in COVID-19 assistance. “That really is an amazing number…that’s 88% of the accepted applications.”

The money is being given as grants between $1000 and $5000, with the majority running around $3000.  White said the sense of gratitude has been overwhelming, even from companies who got significantly less that they applied for.

He added, businesses can still apply for 0% interest loan for up to $10,000 through the aid program.
