Austin City Councilmembers are calling for emergency hearings focusing on the Police response to the volatile and at times riotous protests, and demands made by the group Black Lives Matter. In a tweet Monday afternoon Councilmember Greg Casar said, “We have to change this system, and all people deserve to be safe during these demonstrations.”
