Pflugerville’s City Council gives the thumbs up to a $3.8M incentive program to seal the deal with Amazon and bring in a new Amazon fulfillment center.
The incentive dollars would be put to use and fund area road improvements. For its part of the deal, Amazon will build a 820,000 square foot facility, and bring with it 1,000 new full time jobs.
Officials say those jobs would start out at $15.00 an hour. The fulfillment center is expected to kick off operations in 2021.
