The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS), in collaboration with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), has assisted an elderly citizen with another owner surrender of 11 felines from the home, with more expected to come. This comes just two weeks after assisting with another owner surrender of 45 cats from a home in Round Rock. The case is an ongoing effort in cooperation with the WCSO and details are still emerging. We will update the public with new information as it becomes available.

Of the 45 cats taken in earlier in January, 15 have been either adopted or transferred to a rescue organization, leaving 21 cats available for adoption, some of whom are free to adopt through the shelter’s Adoption Angel program thanks to a generous owner. The remainder continue to be assessed as they settle into their new environment.
