Alamo Drafthouse is looking to help illegal immigrants pay their legal fees. Throughout the month of July, moviegoers will be given the option to donate $1, $3, or $5 to the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, or RAICES, which is the state’s largest immigration legal services provider.
The theater chain will also match those donations dollar-for-dollar, up to a certain point.
RAICES says it has a staff of 130 attorneys, legal assistants, and staff working to provide representation and legal assistance.
