With temperatures not expected to dip out of the mid-90s in the coming days, and more triple-digit heat in the forecast for next week, the Austin Police Association and Cops 4 Charities will hit the streets to help keep the community cool amid the sweltering summer temps.
Five separate deliveries will be made on Wednesday to those in need.
Cops 4 Charities has been involved in the A/C distributions for a number of years.
“The Austin Cops for Charities is living it’s motto in “Giving back to the community we serve,” and will work in partnership with the APA to continue donating additional air conditioning units to those residents in need,” a statement says.
