Official statement:
In anticipation of forecasted winter weather, and to ensure the safety of all our students and staff, all Austin ISD classes will be 100 percent remote Tuesday, Feb. 16.
No students will report to campus on Feb. 16 and buses will not transport students. To ensure the safety of our staff and others on the road, Austin ISD WiFi buses will not operate. Instead, campus staff will reach out to students without internet access via phone to coordinate alternative learning plans.
Because the weather continues to evolve, we will monitor conditions and communicate with families about plans for Wednesday, Feb. 17 and Thursday, Feb. 18.
As a reminder, tomorrow, Monday, February 15 is a student holiday. There will be no classes.

The AISD community is also encouraged to refer to local news and public safety organizations’ social media for weather-specific updates. We encourage all families and staff to stay off the roads and remain home as much as possible.
