As the pandemic shows more and more signs of nearing the endemic phase, Austin Public Health announced Friday it is shifting vaccine operations to a more focused outreach approach.
“Moving away from mass vaccination operations allows APH to return to its core mission: serving as a safety net provider,” the city said in a press release.
The last APH vaccine clinic at Delco Activity Center is Friday, February 25, and the last clinic at the Southeast Branch library is Saturday, February 26. The vaccine clinics at Old Sims Elementary and Pfluger Hall remain open with their existing schedules.
Despite a rapidly waning demand for COVID vaccines across the area, several other clinics will be hosted throughout Friday and the weekend:
