Austin Public Health Updates Vaccine Scheduling

Covid Vaccine doses

As of March 8, Austin Public Health has begun releasing an entire week’s worth of COVID vaccine appointments on Monday evening.  The specific days made available and the number of appoints released will vary each week depending on vaccine availability and the timing of shipments from the Department of State Health Services.

APH will monitor inventory, receipt of unplanned vaccine shipments, and appointment no-show rates at clinics. Should additional vaccine doses become available later in the week, APH will conduct another appointment release on Thursday evening of each week.

To make the scheduling process smoother, a queuing system has been added for first doses, officials say.
