Mobile Loves and Fishes is expanding it’s innovative Community First! Village.

Community First! Village currently has 51 acres of Northeast Travis County land with 220 residents who were chronically homeless. But through the help of Tito’s Vodka, the non-profit now has 127 new acres of land to build more tiny homes on.

Officials say the Village has two new parcels of land to develop and expand upon, another 51 acre spread of land across the street from the original site. The next is an additional 76 acres, West of ABIA along burleson Rd overlooking Onion Creek.

The Non-profit’s Amber Fogerty explains they are announcing their plan to build up 1400 more tiny homes on those properties combined. This would add up to a grand total of 1900 tiny homes dedicated to the chronically homeless.

To accomplish this goal though, Mobile Loaves and fishes estimates they will need to fundraise $119-million, to not just build the homes but develop the lands for the infrastructure needed to sustain that housing.
