The makeup of the Kyle City Council has changed. Daniela Parsley will become the next city council member for District 5, according to unofficial election results from the Runoff Election.
The City of Kyle held a Runoff Election on Tuesday, December 7, to determine which candidate would represent District 5, an at-large seat. Neither incumbent Rick Koch nor challenger Daniela Parsley received 50-percent of the vote during the general election, which triggered Tuesday;’s runoff between the two candidates.
According to unofficial election results, Koch received 45.29% of the votes — or 457 votes — and Parsley received 54.71% of the votes — or 552 votes.
These results will not be official until they are canvassed.
