Shooting suspect denied bail

The suspect from Sunday’s shooting that left three dead will not be able to bond out of jail this time.

Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza explains, Stephen Broderick, 41, was granted a $50,000 bond last year. Broderick was arrested for Sexual assault of a child back then.

Now, Broderick faces capital murder charges. DA Garza says his office asked that bail be denied, given the suspect’s history and accused past actions.

Law enforcement accuse Broderick of shooting and killing his wife, Amanda Broderick, 35, his daughter Alyssa Broderick, 17,  and Willie Simmons, 18.

Garza says they have not decided on what penalty to seek in this case yet.
