Twitter in Texas: Elon Musk might move HQ to Austin

Ever since Elon Musk purchased Twitter, there has been allegations that the company’s HQ will move to Austin to join the billionaire’s other companies. Austin is already home to many other tech companies and this move would “benefit the city’s technology sector”, according to Thom Singer, CEO of the Austin Technology Council.

The idea of the move wasn’t new, Gov Abbott tweeted in support of it in April when Musk announced his bid to buy Twitter. Roger Kay, founder of Endpoint Technologies Associates, said that attempts to get current Twitter employees to move to Austin could be difficult but the move will mean opportunities by having a Central Texas presence.

Twitter would be the third Musk-owned company to have a corporate headquarters located in Texas, with the other two being Tesla and the Boring Company.
