Hour one of the Todd and Don Show:  

• The Pedestrian Advisory Council in Austin is looking to lower speeds on certain roads to help prevent deaths and accidents

• A man has been charged with assault after being accused of trying to gouge out an arresting officer's eyeball and tearing the earlobe of a nurse who was trying to medically examine him during the suspect's drunken rampage

• Austin Community College and the YMCA are joining together to create daycare at the Highland campus for students

• The ACC Board of Trustees has unanimously passed a tax-rate increase from $0.1008 per $100 valuation to $0.1048 per $100 valuation to fund the remaining debt issued after ACC district voters passed a taxpayer-funded bond in 2014

• TECH NEWS:

-Investigations are being put forward to look into why conservative accounts have been blocked on social media

- A recent survey by Commonsense Media says two-thirds of teens are more likely to text then call their friends

• Memorials were held today on the 17 year anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks

• A new witness has been identified from the Botham Jean killing

• VIRAL VIDEO:

-Protests were held demanding justice for the death of Botham Jean by Dallas Police officer Amber Guyger

• Thousands of additional children will soon be eligible for special education services after state officials eliminated an illegal cap that artificially tamped down Texas special education rolls for a decade

• Some senior students at Bowie HS were allowed to paint reserved parking spots but some were feel it is unfair as they were denied because of content


Hour four of the Todd and Don Show:

• Gov. Abbott wants to get rid of red light cameras through legislation citing they make intersections less safe

• Construction firms according to a study are having a hard time filling 80% of skilled jobs

• CBS has put aside $120 million in severance for ousted CEO Les Moonves
