  • Co-founder of the Workers Defense Project and founder of the progressive Latino youth group Jolt Texas, Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez has announced her campaign for U.S. Senate
  • Tzintzún Ramirez would be competing for the seat against Senator John Cornyn
  • Tzintzún Ramirez feels her background in working with immigrants and coming from an immigrant family, gives her a better opportunity to speak for that audience and younger people of color
  • Some of the top organizers from Beto O'Rourke's 2018 U.S. Senate campaign will be running her campaign
  • The U.S. Senate seat has a long line of candidates that include: Houston City Councilwoman Amanda Edwards, former U.S. Rep. Chris Bell of Houston, and 2018 U.S. House candidate MJ Hegar amongst many others
