Nikki Haley Resigns, AISD Considers Increasing Student to Teacher Ratio, Body Found Believed to be Missing Minneapolis Man

Hour one of the Todd and Don Show:  

• The U.S. Pastor Council filed a lawsuit against the city of Austin and Mayor Steve Adler, arguing that the city’s employment discrimination ordinance needs to have an exemption for “employers who hold religious objections” about job candidates who are gay or transgender

• An investigation is underway in the limo accident that claimed 20 lives in NY

• Austin City Council is set to vote later this month on adding $1 million in funding toward improving the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless and to provide services to help people out of homelessness

• Advocacy groups and parents are asking AISD to change their dress code stating it unfairly targets girls

• Austin ISD is considering increasing the student to teacher ratio next year at campuses throughout the district in an effort to reduce its multi-million dollar budget deficit

• The body of a Minneapolis man who went missing while attending ACL is believed to have been found across the river from where he was last seen

• Trump apologized to Brett Kavanaugh “on behalf of our nation” for the “terrible pain and suffering” he was “forced to endure” in the nomination process

• TECH NEWS:

-Google is shutting down their Google + site after a privacy issue

- A United Nations report released on Monday said that frontier technologies have huge potential to drive prosperity and protect the planet as they are working on "… everything from renewable energy technologies to biodegradable plastics, artificial intelligence and electric vehicles…”

-Facebook wants to put a camera (Portal) to help you talk with people on the network site

• UN Ambassador Nikki Haley resigns but will stay at her post until the end of the year
