No Ticket? No Problem! ABIA May Allow Non-ticketed Visitors

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

  • The Austin Airport Advisory Commission discussed a proposal for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to allow non-ticketed visitors
  • If the proposal is approved, the visitors would have to go through the same security procedures as the ticketed passengers
  • Visitors could come to the airport to eat, drink, shop, watch the planes take off or meet or say goodbye to families/friends at the gate
  • They could enjoy some local fare at the airport as well as local eateries like Hut’s Hamburgers, Salt Lick Barbecue, Amy’s Ice Creams, JuiceLand and more have locations there
  • The changes have not been approved yet with no timeline on the decision being announced
