Proposed Gun Range in Round Rock Worries Residents

  • A plan to construct a shooting range in Round Rock has residents concerned
  • The indoor gun range and retail business, Shoot Point Blank, would be built near I-35 and State Highway 45
  • The planned location would be at the intersection of Louis Henna Boulevard and Warner Ranch Drive in the Round Rock neighborhood
  • Residents are worried the placement of the range is too close to a school bus stop with would be 100 yards away
  • However, the location is within a planned utility district (PUD) which allows for a shooting or archery range
  • There is no word yet as to when the new business would open
