Austin businesses get proactive about COVID rules

As Austin’s COVID numbers grow, Austin businesses start to consider how they will keep their doors open and their staff and customers safe.

John Kuntz owns downtown based music store Waterloo Records. He instituted a mask requirement and limited store capacity just days before Austin Public Health declared the city is back in Stage 4 COVID restrictions.

As the City ‘s COVID numbers returned to higher counts, Kuntz says people he knew were fully vaccinated were still getting sick, and with events and more on the calendar, he reintroduced the requirements.
