Austin business owners constantly dealing with repeat criminal offenders

Craig Staley is the co-owner of Royal Blue Grocery in downtown.  He says he's already struggled to keep his door open due to safety concerns regarding the public camping and sitting ordinances.  But he tells Fox 7 since the changes were put in place, there's been a sharp uptick in brazen thefts from his store, he said it's gotten so bad for him that the only thing that is keeping him in business right now is the hard work of Austin police.  And they keep coming back.

Other businesses report similar problems.  Staley said it's only a matter of time before people stop calling police, since there's almost nothing they can do to prevent the thieves from returning.
