Austin’s growth can be both seen and felt all across the region. That includes at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, where passenger traffic continues to break monthly records.
According to its latest figures, officials say he Austin airport had its busiest August ever in 2019 with 1,521,746 passengers traveling into and out of the Texas capital. This is an increase of 7.6-percent over August 2018.
Year to date, passenger travel in Austin is up 8.78-percent compared to 2018 – the airport’s busiest year on record. If the trend continues throughout the year, Austin’s airport will likely shatter last year’s record set for passenger traffic.
