An appeals court ruling will extend the legal battle over Austin’s ordinance requiring businesses to offer paid sick leave. The court ruled against the ordinance and Annie Spilman with the National Federation of INdependent Business says that was exactly the right thing to do. If the courts don’t ultimately throw the law out it’s possible the legislature will when it convenes next year.
