The Cedar Park Police Department will be conducting a DWI initiative leading up to and throughout Labor Day Weekend.  CPPD says this latest initiative, which will run from Friday, August 17, 2018 – Monday, September 3, 2018, is an effort to discourage, reduce, and enforce DWI violations.

Labor Day weekend traditionally results in heavy traffic volumes throughout the state, which can lead to increased accidents, serious injuries and fatalities.

"We want to remind everyone to make the responsible choice not to drive if they are impaired in any way. The Cedar Park Police Department is focused on saving lives and making roadways safe for everyone through education and enforcement. Don’t risk a DWI this Labor Day Weekend. Drive sober or get pulled over."
