Cedar Park High School Students Arrested

The Cedar Park Police Department has arrested two Cedar Park High School students for a terroristic threat made against the high school’s students and staff.

On Wednesday, December 11th at approximately 09:00 p.m., officers responded to a call from a parent who advised her child showed her a social media video of two young boys threatening to cause harm to those at the school.

Upon receiving the information of the threat, officers quickly identified the two students involved in the video and subsequently arrested them early Thursday morning for Terroristic Threat. They were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center in Williamson County.

While we do not believe there is any active threat to students and staff, this remains an ongoing investigation and to ensure safety, we will have extra patrols monitoring the Cedar Park High School campus.
We also want to use this time to remind students, parents and the community that if you see something, say something. Violent threats are no joking matter and are taken seriously by our officers and agency partners.
