Central Texas School Districts Announce Delays

The wintry weather that has swept through Central Texas has prompted quite a few delayed starts for school districts Tuesday morning.  Those districts include:

  • Austin ISD
  • Bastrop ISD
  • Del Valle ISD
  • Dripping Springs ISD
  • Eanes ISD
  • Elgin ISD
  • Georgetown ISD
  • Hays CISD
  • Lake Travis ISD
  • Lago Vista ISD
  • Leander ISD
  • Liberty Hill ISD
  • Lockhart ISD
  • Manor ISD
  • Round Rock ISD
  • Texas School for the Deaf
  • Harmony Public Schools

All districts will be starting two hours later.  Many will stagger start times across elementary, middle, and high school campuses.  Bus routes will also be delayed.

Concordia University will begin classes and activities at 10:00 a.m.  All activities scheduled prior to 10:00 a.m. have been canceled.

The University of Texas is operating on a normal schedule.

Some city and county governments have also announced delayed start times for Tuesday:

  • City of San Marcos
  • Hays County
  • Williamson County

The City of Austin and Travis County are both operating on normal schedules.
