City Council to hold public hearing on changing the spelling of Manchaca

Austin City Council votes to hold a public hearing October 5th on changing the spelling of Manchaca to the correct spelling of Texas Revolution hero Antonio Menchaca. The move pleases Justice for Menchaca founder Bob Perkins, who says this name change is different from confederate war figures.

Perkins says his non-profit already has the money on deposit with the city to physically change the signs.
